A Home Away From The House for All New York Morehouse Alumni
The Morehouse College Manhattan Alumni Association, now Morehouse NYC Alumni Association, was chartered as a corporation on October 19, 1990 by Kenneth M. McClure, Earl Andrews, Byron Johns, Wendell Bristoll, Eugene Lowe, Sr., Robert T. Ross, and Edgar Smith.
Over the years the Association has demonstrated its commitment to Morehouse and the community through programs and activities. These activities have grown into three events that we sponsor on an annual basis.
“It is our objective to achieve this mission through supporting the financial growth of the College, assisting in recruitment of qualified students and serving to better our African American community in New York.”
Community
We host three annual events and various ad-hoc programs throughout the year. Built to build and sustain connections between Morehouse Men, future Men of Morehouse and the NYC Black community at-large.
Support
Through our various annual events, dues and fundraisers we are committed to supportinng the financial growth of Morehouse College.m
Recruitment
We assist in recruiting a variety of Men of Morehouse from NYC through programming, mentorship, providing scholarship resources and more.
“…to develop Renaissance Men – leaders with a social conscience – who will champion the causes of equality, justice and peace in their communities and around the globe.”
